Daniel “Dan” Kalluk

Bio

Dan is one of the world’s best K-9 operators, with his malamute companion, Akhlut (“AK”). He is also in charge of the St. John’s cell, which acts as the extreme-weather training facility, and while all PRISM operators are required to train there, it keeps a very small full-time staff of instructors year-round.

During downtime, Dan is an expert musher and luger.

He is of Caribou Inuit descent.

Amarok. An active camouflage armor vest for Iditarod’s malamute, AK. This allows AK to be completely invisible while stationary, and appear to “shimmer” when moving quickly. While in heavy snow, the shimmer is nearly imperceptible.
